Once he finishes his own game right now, I bet Roddy White will feel pretty stupid for publicly whining about Peterson not being in his fantasy lineup instead of just sucking it up and picking up Matt Asiata. Injuries cause players to miss time all the time, why not serious off-field issues? Next man up, deal with it. The Vikings got it.

Yep. Pretty standard for most 1st round picks in the new CBA, and pretty much always for the top 5. The Redskins can also give him a 5th year option that I believe is also fully guaranteed if they do, but given the past few years that may be a difficult thing to do.

And on that note, I'm seriously starting to consider that a major negative for mobile quarterbacks is that they are going to get injured more frequently. You look at the long starting streaks for QBs and except for Favre they're all pocket passers. This is especially troubling with RGIII in particular, he's had injury problems dating back to his time at Baylor. It's a shame, because I think he can be an excellent pocket passer if the coaches can save themselves from putting him at risk.

I agree, but still, that's just brutal for a guy associated with blunders. Also, Mike Pereira said in this video that Rex Ryan did a similar thing as defensive coordinator with the Ravens. I can't wait to see what headline the New York Post will concoct.

Yup, while the QB needs to shuffle around the pocket better and that requires more mobility than the traditional QB, there's no room for success for an NFL QB that's better with his legs vs. arm. I'm looking at you Vick, RGIII, Johnny Football, etc., etc.
