Those Bleach songs are a good value at 8 but a reach at 7.

*birds chirping, coffee brewing*
Good morning everyone!
I need some urgent rule clarification here, guys: what the hell's this business of "wildcard rounds"? Similar to vedder316, I have held off making my pick from Nevermind in favour of taking other songs first on the understanding that Nevermind would remain off limits until everyone has picked at least one song.
Also, my feeling is that Downer is definitely not a Bleach song and has been available this whole time. It's only a bonus track on reissues of Bleach and wasn't on the original release, hence its inclusion as something of a rarity on Incesticide (so people didn't need to buy the 1992 Bleach reissue simply to hear it).

Re: Nirvana Song Tournament
I'll hold off making my 7th pick until this business of a wildcard round is resolved.
If I might make a submission, however: vedder316 has held off making a selection from either In Utero or Nevermind until rounds 7 or 8. While myself and bada could potentially pick from our remaining albums (Nevermind and Bleach respectively) with our seventh picks and not be disadvantaged in the eighth 'wildcard' round, vedder316 will inevitably lose one of his album picks through no fault of his own which creates a rather unfair disability to his team.
As such, I don't think we can have a fully open wildcard round unless he specifically gives his OK.
I understand people feeling like we're getting to the bottom of the barrel with Nirvana songs, and we are, but there are still songs to choose from and opening up a wildcard round only really steals one choice from vedder316 and doesn't create any great wealth for the other participants to choose from (ie. at best, one other person gets either a Nevermind or In Utero song they wouldn't have otherwise).
As a compromise, I wouldn't be opposed to having alternate versions be opened up in the 8th round however - for example, Pay to Pay, (New Wave) Polly, Unplugged versions and so on. I still think vedder316 should be consulted, though.

I'm not taking a song from Bleach for my 7th pick no matter what is decided unless the song I want at 7 is gone. If there is no Bleach songs to pick when it comes to my turn at 8 oh me.

good points though. i'm good with an alternate versions round too as long as it includes the WTLO demos of songs.

Re: Nirvana Song Tournament
Downer is on the only copy of Bleach anyone has ever owned. If I can't have it will someone just assign me whatever Bleach song is left as I'm not even sure what I have to pick from and know full well it will be a sub par tune.
If the wild card round stays I will get to pick my favorite Nirvana recording ever....so I vote it stays.

I have said this on another thread but About a Son is an excellent Cobain documentary.

Re: Nirvana Song Tournament
I've PMd darth and Joey so they can weigh in regarding the above.
I could pick now, and my time is either up or is about to be, but this could potentially affect my choice so I'd like to pause the round until we know for sure if that's OK.
(Serious business, clearly.)

Verb you I'm pretty sure everyone is fine with Downer being a Bleach pick.
