or maybe DC comics WB/Fox movies are just garbage?
i was so excited for Green Lantern, but you make Parallax a space cloud (replace green lantern with FF and Paralax with Galactus) and you dont think people are going to think it is shit?
spiderman 3 you have an emo peter parker beatniking and you dont think fans are going to call BS?
I get sometimes you have to stray from source material to make it work (you cant explain Wanda's Magic/Hex so you make her a telepath/TK yet fox totally ass rapes the first deadpool in origins to fit their narrative)
as a huge fan of the current writer and artists at marvel and even enjoying some of the new DC i think marvel just sticks to the vision created almost 10 years ago while WB is trying to rush those 10 years into 2 years of movies and Fox just wants to make money product be damned

Marvel figured out that if you create likeable characters that you want to spend time with people will go see your movie. Is any major marvel character unlikeable. Are any X-men outside of Wolverine likeable? Any DC character?
In all seriousness, I would probably watch and enjoy the hell out of a marvel movie that featured any 4 of their characters just sitting in a car driving around

"Likability" is a fucking cancer in modern cinema.

It all depends on goals.

The problem is that it's a pervasive goal

I don't know if it really is. But if it is, it's probably a reaction to the decade of anti-heroes.

We're well past reacting to the '70s.

That was one of those moments where I was thinking they've done a poor job of explaining who this chick is cos I don't remember her. Stop and look! She's suddenly this other character who I kinda remembers Neice! Everyone has to be related and screwing each other? Shit is warped.
