Guys, the acting here is really weird. Borderline awful sometimes....have you noticed it?

- Well that was a fairly straightforward Twin Peaks episode until one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on screen happened.
Also, I heart Naomi Watts in this.
She's been totally amazing.
The way she handles Dougie warms my heart.

I have a lot of thoughts about this. But I'm not going to get into it here.

Did THREE people die in Dougie's car explosion?

I didn't think all 3 men were at the car. I could be wrong. I should start writing down all the numbers they show at certain moments.
- Spoiler: show
- Like the 6 on the telephone pole after the little boy got ran over.

Yeah, I didn't think three died either. Didn't someone drive that car away? Where there four? Because if three people died... and all three weren't those thieves... that's um... that's fucking interesting.

Did they say three dead?

Right before Ike "The Spike" kills Lorraine she says "three corpses" (or something to that affect) into the phone. I was assuming that since she's the one who put the hit on Dougie that she's talking about the car explosion. I guess she could be talking about something else, though.

Also, we now have a Richard and a Linda. Are they the same Richard and Linda that the Giant (???) mentions to Cooper in the first scene of Part One?

Is it safe to say that we're watching this multiple times, all the time or is it just me? I can't turn it off. I've been enjoying it just in the background while I'm doing shit around the house.

If anyone knows of any cool Twin Peaks podcasts--especially one that covers the early seasons and the new season--let me know!

Has anyone thought about why Bob showed up at Josie's death? And why her face was seen in the cabinet knob?
I can't stop thinking about that.

Wtf??? This new season is bonkers-great. Feel like I'm missing a lot of the mythology/tie-ins to the original, but fuck it's an enjoyable mindfuck if nothing else. Lynch remains the master of this medium.

Guys how do you feel about the obligatory music guest ending? I dont quite like it or need it.

I like the music ending the episodes. Since the thing was written as one long script and not episodically, I think it's a fun way to impose some kind of delineation. Plus, it offers opportunity for classic Lynchian subversions like we saw in part 5. Which was fucking brilliant.

I'm not reading this thread, just popped in to say I'm one episode away from finishing season 1. I'll be moving on to season 2 this weekend.

I've been watching each episode twice. I've never experienced a show where I could do this, so it's been fun to catch little things that I may not have noticed on my first viewing.

Same.
I like the music at the end of each show. Gives me a chance to catch my breath and process a little bit before I go to bed (I'm watching each of these right before bed.) Sometimes the lyrics will reinforce a theme I've been working out in my head.
