I know it's easy to get wrapped up in a new-album-bias, but I don't think I had a first listen from RH hit me this hard since Kid A.

I'm not saying it sucks; it doesn't, and I have to assume that this band who has proven themselves masters of their chosen medium have intended for me to hear it exactly as I'm hearing it. But it mostly strikes me as an ambient/cinematic soundscape-type record, with touches of psychedelic folk, and it's not blowing my mind in either capacity. But I'll keep spinning it, because KoL took a few months to grab me.
re: the highlighted passages - if you asked me to describe exactly what I want out of a Radiohead record, that pretty much nails it.

Kid A onwards is 17100 seconds so should be 22800 copies of the special edition. Of course if they included I might be wrong, In Rainbows disk 2, b sides and remixes there could be quite a few more!

Yeah I noticed this a couple of weeks ago when shopping for a birthday gift. Wondering how the quality will be compared to those Capitol releases, or the originals?

Anyone think there's meaning or a message behind the destroying of the masters going back to Kid A? Radiohead never does something without a purpose, I feel.
Theories:
-- a record label fuck you by the band?
-- symbolically saying all these albums are related and Moon is the last chapter
-- symbolically saying goodbye
-- house cleaning; converted everything to digital

I think is a pretty good description of the album. As much as I like ambient/cinematic soundscapes, it just doesn't have much room in my life and one soundscape recording doesn't hold much more emotional appeal over another well done one.
I get it, this is who and what Radiohead are now. But really, this is music for middle aged people by middle aged people. Done extremely well it won't be part of (by design) many peoples soundtrack of the summer of 2016. Critically acclaimed but listened to by fewer and fewer people.
