If it's okay with the OP, I have an idea for a concept album that extends to twelve tracks.
Theme: Songs that correspond to AA's Twelve Steps toward alcoholism recovery
1. We admit we are powerless over alcohol: Centro-Matic - With Respect To Alcohol
Subsequent step/track criteria below:
- Spoiler: show
- 2. We come to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity:
3. We make a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of a god as we understood him:
4. We make a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves:
5. We admit to our god, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs:
6. We are entirely ready to have our god remove all these defects of character:
7. We humbly asked him to remove our shortcomings:
8. We make a list of all persons we have harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all:
9. We make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others:
10. We continue to take personal inventory, and when we are wrong, promptly admitted it:
11. We seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with our god as we understood him, praying only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out:
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs:

The idea is to create a song cycle that mimics AA's twelve-step program. Pick a song that corresponds to a theme of each step in the order.
Step 1: Song One
Step 2: Song Two
etc...

I got that part.
Well, its a very creative and thought-provoking, but I really can't think about any idea so far.

That's okay. Take your time. There's got to be twelve songs out there that are appropriate for this concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing what RM's musical brain trust can come up with.

2. We come to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity: Pearl Jam - Inside Job
Am i doing it right?

Your formatting and album pacing leaves a little to be desired, but I suppose if this concept is to take off, then the rules shouldn't be too rigid.

Thanks, friend.
I side with those that want to see more thought applied to these "concepts," but I understand that my past attempts at creating them were a little vague.

I knew of the 12 step thing but I had no idea it was filled with so much religious bullshit.
