For the sake of comparison, my state (South Australia) has a population roughly equivalent to that of Nebraska. Nebraska alone has had more COVID-19 deaths (100) than our entire country (97, at last count).

I thought Kemp already had everything open?

No, things like bars, nightclubs, and amusement parks are still closed along with swimming pools. They can all reopen in two weeks (with guidelines like capacity restrictions, social distancing) on the 13th unless Kemp backtracks.

Somewhat surprisingly our governor is keeping these closed through May 31st now. He had already said a ban on live entertainment would not be lifted yet. He did increase restaurant capacity though.
Since Kemp started opening up Georgia at the end of April our numbers have not varied much. We have more access to testing now but the numbers of confirmed cases have stayed steady and hospitalizations have actually decreased in the past couple weeks. But we are just now getting into the time where the numbers can be expected to increase since restrictions have been loosened.
