She said her name and I said that I didn't care what her name was. She said," oh you don't care! You don't care! Then we will keep calling you every day until you do care!"

I was shocked and almost respected it, but then I told her to go fuck herself then and hung up.

Can't wait to do this again tomorrow.
Good stuff, Burt. We will keep calling you every day until you do care, that's so funny

I just had one from my "local cable provider" who wanted to know who provided my cable and asked me to read the name from my cable remote and I told them "radio shack" and they hung up on me. Not as funny as Burt's interaction but I had fun

Tonight I met two of Kirsten's friends some dude named Diego who was fucking exhausting and obnoxious and this girl named Evelyn who is an absolute smokeshow and also very sweet. It's the first time I've gotten drunk at a bar in a good while. It's fun but it's just a lot of work and I don't have the patience for it. I like to talk to new people, though. Then we went to see a friend's show. My friend is very talented and I love the songs from her first album but I don't know what the fuck she's doing with her new stuff. It's very abstract and tuneless and I suppose it's "experimental" but I just can't get into it. Every song is like 9 hours long too. I clapped real hard after each one and gave her a hug after the show. Lovely night in Buenos Aires, it's getting nice and chilly now

There is a hog in me . . . a snout and a belly . . . a machinery for eating and grunting . . . a machinery for sleeping satisfied in the sun—I got this too from the wilderness and the wilderness will not let it go.

There is a fish in me . . . I know I came from salt-blue water-gates . . . I scurried with shoals of herring . . . I blew waterspouts with porpoises . . . before land was . . . before the water went down . . . before Noah . . . before the first chapter of Genesis.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.
