What are you currently watching on TV?

I have no idea how I'm going to wait a week for the Devs finale. I NEED IT NOW!

In the meantime, I'll finish Picard and Schitt$ Creek... Don't know what I'll do with the other 5 days.

I hope the last episode of DEVS has something big in store. The last few have felt a bit samey. Or maybe I'm too dumb to fully grasp the quantum physics stuff and why it matters.

Why did

Kenton kill Jamie and attempt to kill Lily? Didn't he tell Forest he wasn't willing to do that? Was he that angry about seeing them meet with each other at Forest's house? That seems flimsy, plot-wise.

He told Forest he wasn't going to jail: meaning he wasn't going to take the fall for anything that happened. He was willing to eliminate Lily and Jamie if that was the only way to keep from going down. Forest said he didn't think that wa necessary and leave Lily alone. Then Kenton sees them all buddy/buddy and hanging out at Forest's house and he gets pissed and super paranoid, thinking THEY are teaming up to take HIM down. And he ain't gonna let that happen.

I personally don't think it's flimsy at all. Nothing about this show has been anything but expert, as far as I'm concerned. Each move has made sense. This is going to go down as one of my all time favorite mini-series ever. If they stick the landing... well, I can't even get ahead of myself. It's already amazing. Ending it well will only solidify and empower its already sure legacy. At least, for me.

Ah, yes. I misremembered that scene. I need to stop watching this late at night, half falling asleep.

Yeah I really enjoyed this. Some of the writing is just okay but the style is fun as hell.

I have one ep to go, and yeah i agree the writing is kinda meh. But damn, Esmail is so good.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

We finished it last night. Still processing it, but I do have a couple of loose ends, I think.

First, what happens with Paige? Obviously, she's wanted by the US Government. Is she just going to be on the run the rest of her life?

Second, I think Renee was definitely a soviet spy. The show never definitively says one way or the other. Kinda like Higgins on Magnum, I guess.

Does anyone know other than Stan? Is he going to rat on her? I thought that was the gamble she was making--that Stan wouldn't come after her, and that she could assume a new identity.

As to the second part, yes, I definitely think so.
