Wow. Just thinking about this scenario gives me a boner. It would be one of those 'gifts' to the fans. Something to say they still love us, and that they don't need shitty long build ups, and lame 'partnerships' with some geek dad fashion store corporation.EJ wrote:dimejinky99 wrote:Awful lot to be said for the radiohead/Bowie trick of just dropping the thing out of the blue.
Weirdly I don't think that'd work for pj. But who knows unless they tried it.
Imagine Monday was actually the full on release?
Few folks have speculated as much on the pit.
I saw one of those posts, and it might be a cool way to circumvent the leaks. When the clock expires, initiate a pre-sale for cd & vinyl, with a code for a digital download that could be used immediately.
But, we know better than to believe that will actually happen.
I've been saying that for days, but they won't do it because the links will be passed around like hot fireSgt. Crackpot wrote:Wow. Just thinking about this scenario gives me a boner. I love Unemployable!evenslow wrote:(Because I'm the world's biggest loser and a glutton for punishment) I went back and looked at some of the old Fixer thread when that thing dropped like a bomb back in July of 2009. 4 damn years ago.
Just wanted to say that I found the air around this place back then to be fucking toxic. A lot of angry, venomous motherfuckers all up in this piece. Many of whom compared The Fixer to Unemployable.![]()
Oh, goodness no. Unemployable is quite legitimately one of my favourite Pearl Jam songs.Biff Pocoroba wrote:By the way, The Fixer > Unemployable.

Radios gonna play it just the same either way, will it not?
Do they feel a need to make a big splash? With every album?
Does Neil do stuff like this?
