I cryied watching the new Metroid gameplay.

So Firewatch is a really great game, guys. The Prologue had me feeling all the feels, it's sort of like the first ten minutes of the movie Up. And then I played through Day 1. Controls are a little clunky and there are a few minor bugs with the environment, but this is shaping up to be an indie game that's as good as Inside or Rocket League. Hopefully it can maintain the momentum.

Was really hoping to at least get another minor glimpse of Last of Us Part II at E3 but no such luck. My standouts were Spider Man and God of War (interested to see where they take it). I've already pre-ordered the Uncharted Lost Legacy, hefty price tag for an add-on ($40!). Thanks for the heads up on Firewatch--not a big first person fan anymore but have to admit the original trailer really had me intrigued.

Ok, I think I'm done watching/reading anything more about Super Mario Odyssey. I love how Nintendo is really doing their own thing with exploration/experimentation in games between Breath of the Wild and this. Can't wait to explore every nook and cranny.

I tried to play a PC game from 2010 yesterday and I thought it was old enough my system could handle it. Nope. Between the screen tearing and the general blurriness of the backgrounds I kept crashing into everything (it was a driving game). Is there an easy way to tell what kind of graphics card will work in my PC without buying one and hoping for the best? I know there are power considerations and other things to look out for but I'm going into this from not having built a PC since 2005 or so.

I have a Dell (dude) and even that's a block I'm unsure about. Can I put something in it and have it work?

Head to https://pcpartpicker.com/ and build your system there - it's got compatibility checks. The Geforce 750ti is a great card for older systems that'll handle most stuff today at reduced quality.

What're your CPU, RAM, motherboard? If your motherboard is old enough, it might be old PCI specs, which would limit the GPU you could get.

I played Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, here's my short review:

Stellar gameplay that is perfectly-paced, easy to pick up, and only gets better as the game progresses; and then the story consists of laughably awful dialogue and characters with a silly, pointless plot bogging down all the cutscenes.

I feel like that's my experience with every video game ever. But I haven't been a serious gamer since the playstation 1 days. So...

Bought the PC the weekend the first TFA trailer was released. I remember because that's the first thing we watched on it! So it's about 2.5 years old, give or take.
