Brienne certainly does. Or at least knew she was alive much longer than Jon and Sansa could be sure of.

Wonder if she's told them?

She told Sansa while they were travelling to Castle Black

I can't wait for all the Starks to get together and catch each other up. They can have a meal and play a board game in the godswood one upping each other with their stories.

An odd thought: to my knowledge, I've never met someone who has had his genitals mutilated in some way. In that room on Dragonstone were 4 men - Varys, Theon, Greyworm, and Tyrion. 3 outta 4! Wtf kind of show is this?

I thought it was a fine episode:

Complaining about the Nymeria scene? wtf?

As quickly as news travels in Westeros, you'd think Arya would have heard the news by now. I still expected her to keep going to King's Landing. I wonder if the Nymeria scene convinced her to turn back around. She was basically running home to family. She has people to kill.

Team Dany really should have sent a dragon for air support. Tactical failure. Does this mean the southern armies are wiped out now?

So glad the snakes are dead, especially lame ass whip girl. Who uses a whip?!

Casterly Rock is gonna get fucked up.

Jon Snow is so dumb. Just like his daddy.

Theon/Reek was fine. I liked his little personality change. It's the only way that could have gone.

oh and sweet lord Missandei 's boobage. God is good.

I don't think the Dornish and Tyrell armies were on the ships yet. They were going to pick them up from what I gathered.

A big spear perfectly placed to kill a dragon mid-flight.

What a concept. Where have I seen this before.

No. It was a reference to a scene in the first season with her dad.
Thank you! I was confused about that too.

I enjoyed this episode overall. Although I'm not sure why Sam is so willing to risk his life (and Gilly and little Sam's possibly) for Jorah Mormont. I don't remember he and Jeor having a super close relationship. I guess he did take over for Jon when Jon went off with the Half Hand so maybe it's an implied off-screen thing. And yeah, the Qyburn reveal totally made me think of Smaug.

They were nice, but it probably take third place to two other HBO moments: Alexandra Daddario on True Detective and Nick Sobotka's wife on The Wire.

Man alive, I entirely forgot about the scene in the Wire.

Didn't pick up on that either. I took it as introspective commentary on her decision to return home to winterfell vs still going after the queen. Arya saying she isn't just the wolf anymore.

I like the subtle and not so subtle references to past seasons in this episode:

- Tyrion's line to Jon about "all dwarves are bastards in their father's eyes" being in the letter
- Arya's line to Nymeria echoing her line to Ned
- Hot Pie!
- Sam telling Jorah about his father
- Ned's statue in the crypt and Littlefinger talking about the delivery of his bones
- Varys playing both sides with Dany in season one
