MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man appointed to the state’s Natural Resources Board under former Governor Scott Walker is reportedly refusing to vacate his seat nearly one month after his term expired.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal reports that Frederick Prehn has yet to give up his spot on the seven-member board which oversees policy for the Department of Natural Resources. Prehn’s term expired on May 1st, but so far has indicated that he plans to remain on for Wednesday’s regularly scheduled board meeting.
Governor Evers has appointed a replacement in Sandra Dee Nass of Ashland. It remains unclear when she will take the seat.
The non-partisan Legislative Council says such a move is not illegal, and according to the Journal Sentinal there are instances where board members have refused to depart at the end of their term.
Prehn is a dentist in Wausau and also owns a cranberry marsh. He’s also been a long-time supporter of the GOP donating thousands to candidates like Scott Walker, Ron Johnson, Tom Tiffany, and Ted Cruz.

IQ scores are based on a distribution in an age cohort. So just because you are smarter than Lenny now doesnt mean you won't be much smarter than Lenny in the future.
