The Senate unanimously passed a bill to make Juneteenth a national holiday today.
Personally I would love another holiday in the summer, between Memorial Day and Independence Day.
I work in a predominantly black office so I know the importance of the day and the celebration. But honestly if I didn’t I don’t think I would other than in a passing, general trivia kind of way.

While Juneteenth easily passed through the House there were 14 R reps who voted against it. That’s not going to age well for them, not that it matters though.
