It was uneccesary. It caused congestion getting in. People were pissed off waiting in their seat for 90 minutes. If they said nothing, most would have been in their seats by 7:30 anyway.mikejasond wrote:This is still frustrating to me

If you're going to tweet this, don't take the stage at 8 o clock
Same thing happened Seattle N2 and Missoula.mikejasond wrote:This is still frustrating to me

Yea and Fenway Park tweeted that. Not Pearl Jamstompbox wrote:Same thing happened Seattle N2 and Missoula.mikejasond wrote:This is still frustrating to me

Were they unaware ? Was there no communication? Do you think Fenway lied and didn’t speak to the band? If that’s the case could Pearl Jam have not said it wasn’t true?Strat wrote:Yea and Fenway Park tweeted that. And yet the arena was full for like an hour before they went on. Did they have something better to do ? It’s not like they were waiting for the arena to fill. I’d understand if they were but the people were ready ages before. It really comes off like they don’t caretragabigzanda wrote:maybe it's just a safe way to make sure 40,000 people make it through drunken traffic on election day in time for a rock concert that's really starting at 8pm
True, but that schedule probably said “show starts at 6:30” like the ticketstragabigzanda wrote:it's great that people were in the venue earlier than anticipated, but they can't just say "ooh, let's start an hour early!" there's production crew, vendors, security, all these moving parts that have been operating on a regimented schedule since 8am.
now, it WOULD be nice if Ed came out for a pre-set or something, this i will grant you
Most venues don’t have the same curfew as a high school sophomoreMonkey_Driven wrote:I don't really get the big deal about the ticket start times and actual start times. Big acts have been doing this for years.
And yet, they still played 30 songs each night.Bi_3 wrote:Most venues don’t have the same curfew as a high school sophomoreMonkey_Driven wrote:I don't really get the big deal about the ticket start times and actual start times. Big acts have been doing this for years.
Maybe but they don’t always go out of their way to tell you that the band will be taking the stage on time so be there earlyMonkey_Driven wrote:I don't really get the big deal about the ticket start times and actual start times. Big acts have been doing this for years.
People drink/hang out until the last minute. Would cause a huge congestion problem if everyone is cramming into these stadiums at the same time. This spreads it out and gives some concession money to the venue.mikejasond wrote:I also think there are better ways to handle that situation than straight up lying. Especially
because now they’ve lost those fans trust. I know I won’t be there on time next time no matter what they say. If they ever did want to start early nobody would believe them. It’s the boy who cried wolf.
