This is definitely louder. So...
I feel there is better separation...
This is your fave by him, no?
It is, yes.

I certainly don't find the new mix offensive. Jarring maybe. But if it opens up the songs for people and gives anyone new or renewed access to the music, I'm all for it.
Personally, I still prefer the original mix. But It's fun to have both.

Ok, I was aggressive with my words, it's obviously not the worst thing in the world. I'm just surprised how much I prefer the original mix.

This album is killing me one song at a time.
Was listening to a bunch of Drive-By Truckers this week... is there a thead for them?

Heard that Isbell is playing two nights a Radio City, first night solo and the second night with the 400 unit. Pretty sure I said elsewhere on this board that RCMH is my least favorite NYC venue... but I put in to win tickets anyway.

If he had any balls at all he would have played Gravelweed right after Cover Me Up and If We Were Vampires.

Listening to Live at the Beacon while shoveling last night and Cover Me Up just hit me so incredibly hard, glad he released something from the solo shows.

He sounds fantastic! The track breaks are a little choppy to me so I wonder if there was some internal movement as they haven't really released gigs in a bit.

I got this album over 15 years ago mainly because of the two Tom Waits performances, but ended up enjoying the whole album quite a bit. This was one the songs I really liked. Back then I had no idea who Jason Isbell is. I went through my cd's the other day and realized it's the Jason Isbell. I've heard few more of his songs since, but I'm not a massive fan. This performance is great though!

Just click on the link. I can’t figure out what to keep and what to get rid of to embed it.

Isbell sits in with Tedeschi Trucks Band for one of the most smokin’ performances of In Memory of Elizabeth Reed I’ve ever heard.
