I wonder how I would have reacted to it if I'd read it a long time ago. But I read the first three Dune books within the last couple years. But I totally understand why people were disappointed with Messiah. It's a really weird and unexpected turn. Very bold.

Yes very bold and when I think about it the best most realistic choice. Herbert knew what he was doing.
