god i hate agreeing with verb
Long before 2017 Biden recognized the problem with the 90's crime bill (as if you can blame Biden alone for a bill passed by a 538 person legislative body and signed by a President). What excuse could the Trump administration possibly have for seeing a program that identified a program and had created a full document of recommendations to fix it, and then axe that entire program and allow African American kids to suffer?Bammer wrote:Damn.B wrote:This broke me.
Just to clarify, whose fault is this again? Joe Biden's fault in 1994 or Donald Trump's fault in 2017?
These are the two fucking clowns we have to choose from, in the world's most advanced country. Nice work, 'Merica, and hats off to the two-party system that has provided us with this amazing choice of 70-somethings to vote for.
Probably something to do with black kids more often coming from lower SES, single parent homes, but because of disparate impact analysis, racism.Bi_3 wrote:I’m not watching that. What is the problem?
Ugh. The video is only 10 minutes long.Bi_3 wrote:I’m not watching that. What is the problem?
At this point I think we deserve to know what B thinks it stood for.verb_to_trust wrote:The A stands for Associations right?
I don't think anything, since I meant to type "BLM," but for shits and giggles let's say BLA stands for Black Liberation Army.Rob wrote:At this point I think we deserve to know what B thinks it stood for.verb_to_trust wrote:The A stands for Associations right?

That was before Walter Wallace.Bi_3 wrote:More progressive revisionist history.B wrote:I don't think anything, since I meant to type "BLM," but for shits and giggles let's say BLA stands for Black Liberation Army.Rob wrote:At this point I think we deserve to know what B thinks it stood for.verb_to_trust wrote:The A stands for Associations right?
You clearly indicated it was "activists"

I mean ... I know a LITTLE. Family calls 911 to help their mentally ill son, and the cops show up and shoot him?Mickey wrote:It's bad!B wrote:I don't know any of the details of the Walter Wallace shooting.

There's video but I'm not sure I recommend watching it. The family reportedly called for an ambulance because he was having a mental health crisis. He was carrying a knife. Cops roll up and in less than a minute, I believe?, they've fired at least 10 shots, despite being at least 8-10 feet away from him. Fact-check these details, I might not have the numbers correct but the basic structure is there--no need to shoot, a clear case of excessive force.B wrote:I mean ... I know a LITTLE. The video is literally a few posts up. Clearly justified.Mickey wrote:There's video but I'm not sure I recommend watching it. Its possible they made some tactical mistakes prior to the video, like they rolled up too close. At the time of the shooting they were trying to create space between them and the decedent, and he continued to advance. 8-10 feet is nothing. If the shooting was justified, the number of shots fired before the target is incapacitated is irrelevent.Bi_3 wrote:The video is literally a few posts up. The family trying to stop Walter without getting stabbed and the police having no trouble staying out of reach of the knife?BurtReynolds wrote:They just kinda glaze over what you can clearly see happening.
