He's probably got your address, so I bet you'll see him soon.

It’s not really an either/or.

How do you feel about transgender protections in terms of something like employee rights, tree?
Seems obvious, but every one should be treated equally, no matter the gender, sex, race, or sexual orientation. If you're qualified and do a good job, you get ahead. Meritocracy is the way to go. Right?

The people who do the hiring are more likely to see people from their cohort as being "most qualified".

Yes. That's wrong, and there should be a system in place to prevent this. Don't ask me how to do it effectively and fairly. My wife was unable to get a job while pregnant, despite being highly qualified. It's illegal to discriminate for that, too.

Maybe interviews should be done via text or something, and take every inconsequential factor out of the application/resume.

WOW what a tool.

"white people, if we're not in it, we're not seeing it!"

I cannot listen to her anymore. She just called J.K. Rowling a "cruel, rich dick"... OK...

This is from J.K.
"I'm mentioning these things now not in an attempt to garner sympathy, but out of solidarity with the huge numbers of women who have histories like mine, who've been slurred as bigots for having concerns around single-sex spaces," she wrote.
She adds: "The last thing I want to say is this. I haven't written this essay in the hope that anybody will get out a violin for me, not even a teeny-weeny one....I've only mentioned my past because, like every other human being on this planet, I have a complex backstory, which shapes my fears, my interests and my opinions. I never forget that inner complexity when I'm creating a fictional character and I certainly never forget it when it comes to trans people."

The point is that she's allowed to have her opinion on bathrooms and that she has her reasons for them. They're obviously not motivated by cruelty. This Samantha Bee lady is actually ignorant and cruel and does not see both sides of an argument in good faith. "You're not a feminist if you disagree!" .. yeah... And you don't think black lives matter if you think white lives matter too, or cops aren't all bad. Just shut up.

That depends, what year did you start posting your opinions about racism in the N&D forum?

Not exactly sure what you're implying here... but I can list a ton of movies not starring white people, some completely without white people, that were extremely popular.

She's accused of being a TERF right? Because she thinks biological sex is real (bimodal not binary!!!!!) and distinct from gender and sexual orientation, and thus the lived experience of CIS women is different from that of trans women? Well, she's not exactly wrong there.

There is no requirement for seeing both sides. The problem is Bee is just not funny and so her spending every show punching down doesn't come off well.

The content could be funny if it weren't mean-spirited and unfair.

That Bret and Heather video you posted is a complete sarcastic mocking of BLA, but they just do it in a monotone, so I guess it can't be mean-spirited b/c they have such dulcet, sweet tones.

You said you didn't even watch it though. It actually is very fair and logical. It's not pandering to any group. They're professors, not "comedians". Point out an instance of "complete sarcastic mocking" and we can discuss it.
