Wow, really??
Yeah I went from loathing his whole shtick to listening to two saviors obsessively in the span of about 24 hours back in early Feb. I've listened to that album at least twice a day for over a month now.
Okay, I'll have to give it another listen. I love Big Thief but was really unimpressed by his solo stuff on first pass

Jens probably would have made top-30 for me. Totally underrated songwriter.

Also, mad respect for Nicole Atkins. I'm just starting to really dive into her work and I'm a fan so far.

Last year's Bartees Strange record is GREAT. But that's all I know by him.
Bartees Strange also has an EP covering songs by The National that's good, if you're into that. But, yeah, his album is great.

I saw Nicole Atkins open for Eels 8 years ago and I've dug everything she's put out since.

I bet I'm the only person to include Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton.
I considered both. I had Dolly on my list for a while.

I'm consistently floored by his lyrics. I just got a copy of "An Argument With Myself" in the mail today!

I feel bad that I cut Fiona Apple from my list. She was my final revision before submitting. She should be on my list instead of Jack White. I went back and forth about both. I like Fiona more but I listen to Jack's stuff more often.

Nicole Atkins belted out Crying by Roy Orbison 5 feet away from me while I sipped wine. It slayed.

I feel the same way, ST. Her album that came out last year was really good and it made me wonder why I hadn't had her in the rotation for the last couple decades. That said, I still haven't really gone back and dug around in the old stuff

She's just so amazing.

Thing is, she takes a lot out of me so I don't think of her as a favorite all the time. She's absolutely one of the best in the game though.

Welcome to the party, buddy.

Oh nice, I didn't know you were into Ellington -- I don't think we've ever talked about him. He made so much incredible music.

But since we submitted ranked lists, shouldn't the cut-off be a certain point amount and not number of votes?
