There's a bit around 1.25 ish where I have no clue what the fuck he's actually saying.

That snippet of Getaway is actually really growing on me. I hope Brendan hasn't fucked it up in studio.
Real getaway or Doug getaway?
Doug, sorry :)

Thanks for that. I just hoped this didn't leak because it's going to be the next single. A lot of the songs seem a little long for radio, but Let The Records Play or Get Away sound like they'd be the perfect follow up to MYM.
i was about to say that there's no way on earth Future Days could be released as a radio single. but then i remembered this is the band that released Who You Are as a single. then i remembered that this isnt the same band. but then i remembered that technically, it is. so who knows.

Who You Are is good, though. Just Breathe wasn't great, and they released that.

oh yeah, Who You Are is fantastic. but just looking at it as a radio single doesn't make sense. But i loved that they made that move though

Releasing this wouldn't be odd, it would just be aiming for the crowd that loved just breathe.

The best compliment I can give this song is that the chorus (if that's what that is) isn't as cheesy as Just Breathe's. It sounds like it might be Ed's original composition rather than a fixin'.

Yeah but it's neither as charming or catchy enough to do any good.

Agreed. That's why it's a tiny bit better in my books.

I wish there was a better song around that bridge. :waah: Just as you think the song gets going a little bit it goes straight back to the boring verse.

I actually like JB. The strings keep it from being a constant listen.

The BOB instrumentation should fix that with a rousing instrumental crescendo.

I wish they would release WAV tracks so some of us could do remixes like NIN did awhile back. I'd gladly dust off some of my old equipment.

And then the very last thing we hear on the album will be BOB playing the piano. :luv:

One of the reviews said that there are vocal harmonies all over the song. Maybe that will make it a lliiiitttle more interesting.

if a Casio keyboard can't fix a song, nothing can.

For about the fifth time today, one of our reviews says that it sounds like a real piano. Should be better than the Casio at Wrigley.
