the dog is here now to watch..originally they were going to drop her off this morning and come get him tomorrow night while they drive to Vancouver to see friends...Their plans changed because they are Swifties and are flying to LA tonight to go the the show/shows...now we have the extra dog until Wednesday night

Did all yard work, House cleaning, and pool cleaning yesterday as we had a bunch of kids over last night for a pool party. Today there are no kids, all housework done, time to do nothing all day

My wife doesn’t even warn me anymore. She just gets going and I try to follow suit.

There is an eagle in me and a mockingbird . . . and the eagle flies among the Rocky Mountains of my dreams and fights among the Sierra crags of what I want . . . and the mockingbird warbles in the early forenoon before the dew is gone, warbles in the underbrush of my Chattanoogas of hope, gushes over the blue Ozark foothills of my wishes—And I got the eagle and the mockingbird from the wilderness.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

Yeah i hate this. I love when i say “what can I do to help?” and get the “it’s ok you just relax”.

It was all day today at the lake.

Good times.

Yesterday was a big combined bday party... still good times, but in a very different way.

My wife has a habit of starting by, say, pulling some weeds and before I know it she's four hours deep into a total garage overhaul.

neighbors from California are staying here Saturday thru Monday..probably just make a good dinner or 2 and hang out..hopefully won't do much else
