I find it hard to believe.

I like the mini bridge before the solo, Olé and Can't deny me were even worst, though.
They always had very weird single choices.

1 star because I can give 0.
Again, what is embarrassing? Are you embarrassed because you are listening to something you think is beneath you? Are you embarrassed on behalf of Pearl Jam? I don't think they've signed on to you being their representative.
Whatever.

They should fire whoever picks their singles for them, by the way.
since 1994
Nah. Given to fly and Do the Evolution were great. NAIS is a great song. I am mine is solid. Dance of the clairvoyants rules.

Nah.

When they release new music I always share it with my friends.

I won't share this, don't want them to laugh at me.

well NAIS was pretty poorly received by the fans. Light Years too. They released Got Some and Just Breathe as singles at the same time. Superblood Wolfmoon was the second single..

Hell Who You Are was a single !

Running is way worst than any of the songs you've mentioned.

And we are in 2024.

exactly

it's easy to name good songs that were PJ singles, and also easy to argue they hardly ever picked the best ones

they used to write b-sides that were 1000 times better than this song, now they can't even manage 11 decent a-sides. true shame.

Exhibit a. You go after people who speak negatively. Nobody is going after you for loving it.
I'm not going after anyone. I'm just trying to understand what is embarrassing.

whats the year have to do with anything?

yeah, im not talking about the song per se, which i like, im just saying that they always choose songs that sometime dont represent the album at all or the quality of the album itself.

and actually, I'd really question the notion that "nobody is going after you for loving it"

what happens is, the people who don't like it tend to be posting rhetorical bullshit like "I don’t know why anyone in their right mind with a good ethical heart who is safe with babies would like this music"

no, they're not going after individuals but they ARE demanding a response

Yes!

I’m enjoying this more on each listen. It makes a fun palette cleanser In the album.

I just listened again and had a big smile by the end. I'm not sure exactly how to put this, but I really like the way a lot of parts in the song seem to go on longer than you expect, particularly Eddie's phrasing(?) and the outro. I keep expecting something to stop and it just keeps going and I love it. Oh and Eddie's grunt at the end is awesome.

Has anyone made the joke yet that Running is referring to Ed’s bowels? I’m not going back and reading 15 pages to find out.

Of course.

In fact, I'm laughing at myself in embarrasment while I listen to this single.
