Man alive that ended up being incredible.

First half I felt so bad for McCarthy. Especially after the pick six. Was concerned his future was decimated before our eyes. Such a big stage on MNF at soldier field for his debut. It wasn't all him. Jefferson dropped two easy ones. Thielen dropped one.

The D kept us in the game long enough for the run game to finally make a dent. Then McCarthy found some rhythm.

Two TDs and a running td ended up giving him a night of a lifetime. What a story ! Long way to go but happy for the kid and he's clearly got talent.

Watched the Cowboys doc on Netflix over the past few days. Wonderful, wonderful. Maybe humanizes Jerry a little more. Gets into subjects where maybe he’ll look at things a little differently going forward, but I doubt it. He and his kids all really want one more Super Bowl before he dies and they all seem to realize that time is now sooner rather than later.

Watching it, the Herschel trade, at least in his and Jimmy’s minds, was the absolute pivotal moment. Helps explain the Micah Parsons trade a great deal. He’s obviously thinking Lightning will strike twice.

It was cool seeing everybody that wasn’t part of the Cowboys in it. They really got a lot of people.

To say Jimmy Johnson was a ball breaker is an understatement and you really understood why those guys would play so hard for him. He had one dude collapse out of breath during spring training. He goes up to the dude laying on the ground and wants to know why he’s just laying there. The dude says he has asthma. Jimmy responds “Asthma, my ass! Get over there on that other field and have some asthma! You’re on the wrong field to have asthma!” Switzer, on the other hand, didn’t give a fuck and really didn’t seem to hold anyone to any level of accountability. Which Troy hated. I never really knew about the rift between the two.

Words can’t describe how much I love Emmitt Smith.

This really was a good doc. A lot of behind the scenes stuff. As good as the Jordan/Bulls doc.
