Also, once you have that black gold pumping through your veins you're not even groggy anymore.
Also the only moments of self-care a parent gets are maybe A) sleep and B) coffee
During most of my time furloughed earlier this year, I would wake up an hour and a half before the house and go for a sunrise jog. The running itself was great, but the real reward (and impetus) was the promise of a cup of coffee afterward and an uninterrupted piece of online reading on the porch. Can't do that much anymore since most nights I get home around 3:30am and need every bit of sleep after that.
Substitute a bike ride for the jog and that whole scenario sounds orgasmic.
You should do it.

Happy to report the new coffee maker made beans from Sam’s club taste pretty decent. I bought some grounds from a local roaster, so those should make for some great morning brews.

I made a huge mistake and used creamer this morning. Blech. Can’t get the taste out of my mouth.

Actually the problem yesterday might have been eating pineapple while drinking coffee.

I swear by my espresso machine, and absolutely love it for its great coffee and simplicity. But man on the weekends I love pulling the burr grinder out and making a French press. With eggs on a cast iron skillet, I feel like I’m on the frontier or something.

Ah yes, the well known coffee making method of the western frontier - french press.

(Kidding, I have no clue about its origin or early use)
