8th: 3.106 on the tread, pouring outside at 5am.
9th: Supersets, still pouring out.

Streak: 126

5K has been nixed, added a training hike on the 17th in New Hampshire with June quickly approaching.

Over in the MLB thread we've decided that streaks are unimpressive. Take that!

10th: Resistance training, focused on shoulders and traps.
11th: Rounds of jogging each pup around the neighborhood.
12th: 2 mile sprint on the tread.

Streak: 129

Ran last night. It was windy as fuck and my legs were feeling it at the end, but it was nice to get out. Even split. Shitty finishing kick. Beautiful evening. Only running twice a week, but I'm on a decent diet. So as of right now, I don't feel like a slug.

13th: 3.5 mile run outside, temp dropped quite a bit as the day progressed so fair timing.

Streak: 130

14th: 3.106 on the tread
15th: 2 miles on the tread, this was a poor decision after a bowl of drunken noodles.
16th: Supersets.
17th: 10.5 mile hike in Mass, solid hike for the first eight miles, then my blood sugar tanked and I was basically a zombie for the last two.
18th: 3.6 jogging the pups around the neighborhood then a full day of landscaping.

Streak: 135

My reward, a ridiculous infection that was killing me through Sunday night and basically had me wishing I was dead yesterday. No shirt for me.

Did you run an official half or just take off on your own?

My own. It's just an extension of my normal 10-mile canal run. I actually haven't run an official half in like 7 or 8 years, I think.

Gotcha; gotta map some 7+ mile loops myself. After this weekend I also have to put a bit more thought in to what I pack to hike with in June. Have to make lodging reservations for Jamestown in July as well.

28ish miles in 5:12

On Saturday, I lost the trail in what should have been a 12-mile run and spent almost 4 hours in 95+ degree heat running around the Superstition Mountains trying to find a trail. Eventually I remembered that when lost, you should find a wash and follow it. I ended up on a dirt forest service road that took me to major road. Luckily, before I left I switched to a Camelbak instead of handhelds and said Camelbak had several-years-old Shot Bloks (they became a sticky mess) stuffed in the side pockets. I felt like I was teetering on the edge of consciousness for a good hour before I found the road but snapped out of it when I met up with a very angry rattlesnake while taking a break.

My wife was not happy about this run. I spent all day Sunday in my sister's pool, which seemed to heal my aches and pains nicely.

I'm glad you didn't die on us t2b.

Is anyone still going for the streak?

Damn, Chloe and I took a 27 mile bike ride on sunday and are just now recovering from it
the first half wasnt bad but trying to get back to where we parked was miserable, partially because we were exhausted but also i think because we stopped at a gas station to get some snacks and sat for about 20 minutes while we ate them, after that it was a real tough getting the energy to do more then a mile or so at a time and also the food didnt really want to stay down too well.
our next bike ride will be quite a bit shorter i think
