Prisoner is solid but definitely not in my top half of RA records I reach for at this point.

More music Ryan. Just keep it coming.
I somehow completely missed this. What did he say?

Cut Do you Still Love Me?, Anything I Say To You and maybe We Disappear and Ryan might have something here.

I feel like "Prisoner isn't about Mandy" is a bit like Dylan saying "Blood on the Tracks isn't about Sara." But I guess I could be wrong.

I really love that album, by the way. Not sure where I'd rank it overall but it's his best since at least Easy Tiger, for me.

New song is pretty average. Still hope there’s something in the direction of Baby I Love You which harked back tonSweet Illusions.

I want the third album of this set to be Blackhole so bad but I really doubt it's coming.

This is still one of his best songs in recent years, in my opinion. Sounds like something from the '05 era.

Willow Lane is also excellent. That 7 inch is one of the only recent releases of his I've bought

Everything he's done since Easy Tiger just kinda washes over me. Some great songs here and there, but nothing really sticks. ~40-50 new songs this year sounds like a slog, tbh.

Agree. This was his last good album. I haven't revisited anything that's come out after. But hope something good comes out this year.

edit: cardinology is ok too...but that came out 2008! it's been a long time.

KD you should play Ashes and Fire. It’s a grower and has some lovely moods.

I've been sitting here spinning 29-->---Easy Tiger--->Cold Roses.

Man, Cold Roses will never not just be an all time favorite of mine.

Produced by Glyn Johns! It's probably the best one post Easy Tiger.
