Here's another hold-out that I have going...

I love Chris Farley and was really sad when he passed away. I have seen all his SNL skits, and all his movies except for one... the universally panned Almost Heroes which co-stars Mathew Perry from Friends. I decided to hold off, and even though I know it's probably crap, I have 90 minutes of new Chris Farley to watch one day.

Is it Pale Rider? I've seen every Eastwood western but saved that one until a couple of months ago. It's absolutely amazing.
Nah, it's not PALE RIDER. That's a decent film, but I found it borrowed far too much from HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER and SHANE. The Clint movie I have saved to watch after Clint is done making films is a film that comes from a time when Clint was making great Clint Eastwood films. His classic bad-ass era, and I have a film from that time still unseen. That's a good feeling.

Can't wait to eat that pizza on Sunday. Knowing it's there is such a good feeling.

I love pizza. Like all pizza. I don't think I've ever had a bad one. People think I'm nuts when I say that but the best NY or Chicago pizza or the lamest cafeteria pizza are all amazing to me.

I never would have guessed that this thread could have gotten worse.

But, alas, it has.

I've been listening to spenno's blackmarket mix, and I'm ready to throw away my studio copy. His mix is almost everything the album should've been. It's breathed new life into it for me. :nice:

Avocado is the quintessential "could have been" album.

Many cuts could have been classics with the right treatment

The album could have easily been a connected narrative concept

The two demos we heard this year could have improved the album significantly

Inside Job could have been a 5 star closer with better lyrics, production, and mixing

Comatose, Marker, Parachutes, and Unemployable could have earned elite PJ status if they were surrounded by a better album

Etc, etc, etc...

(I like having this as my 1000th post) yay me!

And yes, the live mix black market avocado is the definitive take on this for me. Agreed
