Managers in European soccer get fired constantly. In season bad teams can have three different managers. Why in the NFL are you allowed to suck for a few grace years?

That 0-12 season at UW brought that discussion to a screeching end.

FUCK ty willingham and stop talking about him.
PS - What the hell does a soccer coach do anyways? "Ok guys, keep the ball out of the middle on defense, then when we get the ball up the field kick it back in toward the middle where the goal is."

A soccer coach probably does more than most coaches. You think those players decide on formations and set piece plays?

"Ok you go take the corner, and kick it up toward the front of the goal. The rest of you guys run toward the ball when it's in the air and try to score."

"And if that doesn't work, fall down and grab your ankle like it's been snapped in 3 places. Maybe we can get a PK."

Well you make a good point I guess. American football is almost exclusively controlled by fat white men with radio headsets on the sidelines. Time outs, challenges and they call every single play. It's regimented to the point of nausea.
In football the manager is responsible for tactics formation and squad selection/substitutions. The onus is almost exclusively on the players and how they express themselves on the pitch otherwise.
American football is a total abortion.
