I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

This season is making it's case for best of the series.

I think that, even if this season continues at its current (brilliant) trajectory, I can't call any season without Lorne Malvo the best. It just hit different.

Although plenty of people think S2 > S1 so maybe don't listen to me.

I'm old enough to remember how much people balked at S2 because, you know, UFOs.

And I'm thrilled that most everyone has come around to appreciate how great that season of TV is. But it is not now, nor was it it ever, nor shall it someday be, better than S1.

I don't care what plenty of people say.

Season 2 is one of my all-time favourite seasons of television, but I really love S1 as well. Billy Bob’s Lorne Malvo was a home run.

Season 3 was no slouch, either.

Well, B by Fargo standards. S+ by television-in-general standards.

I don't mean to be overly harsh. But only one episode of that season has stuck with me. And Jessie Buckley's storyline is the only one I really remember.

I applaud Hawley for what he tried to do but he was out of his depth.

Still, Is be willing to change the grade to a B-

If it was set on the Kansas side of Kansas City, you’d have liked it better.

No black people live on the Kansas side.
