they took the stage around 8:15pm i think, and wrapped things up shortly before the UC's 11pm curfew.Chris_H_2 wrote:thanks.spike wrote:the new ones sound great, and the whole visual experience is fantastic as well. enjoy!Chris_H_2 wrote:notwithstanding your use of the word "amazeballs," i'll reply nonetheless.spike wrote:guys, the U2 show last night was amazeballs. we had GA floor and were about 15 feet away from the stage/runway.

that's good to know. I can have another drink at dinner without worrying that they're coming on stage exactly at 7:30. thanks.spike wrote:they took the stage around 8:15pm i think, and wrapped things up shortly before the UC's 11pm curfew.Chris_H_2 wrote:thanks.spike wrote:the new ones sound great, and the whole visual experience is fantastic as well. enjoy!Chris_H_2 wrote:notwithstanding your use of the word "amazeballs," i'll reply nonetheless.spike wrote:guys, the U2 show last night was amazeballs. we had GA floor and were about 15 feet away from the stage/runway.

Re: U2 | Songs of Innocence
We can criticize these guys all we want (and most of it is deserved (and God, can I do without the preaching)). But at the end of the day, they're still some of the best entertainers in music. They put on a hell of a show tonight.
1. The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)
2. Out of Control
3. Vertigo
4. I Will Follow
5. Iris (Hold Me Close)
6. Cedarwood Road
7. Song for Someone
8. Sunday Bloody Sunday
9. Raised by Wolves
10. Until the End of the World
Intermission
11. Invisible
12. Even Better Than the Real Thing
13. Mysterious Ways
14. Angel of Harlem
15. Volcano
16. Every Breaking Wave
17. Bullet the Blue Sky
18. Pride (In the Name of Love)
19. Beautiful Day
20. Bad
21. With or Without You
Encore:
22. City of Blinding Lights
23. Where the Streets Have No Name
24. One

Re: U2 | Songs of Innocence
I was there tonight too -- way up high in the upper bowl. I actually thought there were multiple occasions where the sound felt "off" -- Edge's guitar a little too quiet, weird mixing things, etc. Not major stuff, and I think part of it is just that, for a band with such a huge sound, you forget that they're really just (instrumentally) a trio. But I didn't notice anything special about the sound -- it still sounded like a big rock band being piped through an expensive sound system in a basketball arena.
It was a fantastic show, though -- great visuals, and strong performance. I was really happy to hear "Angel of Harlem."

Re: U2 | Songs of Innocence
I've seen good reviews of this tour which kinda make me regret not buying tickets.
Then I look at the setlists and notice all those new songs.

Anyone know if there are any mp3 or flac floating around of the Red Rocks Live show? Not the Under The Blood Red Sky album the actual Red Rocks show. As far as I know it was never released on CD. Thought maybe someone ripped the audio from a DVD or something and it's floating around

U2 is also currently in Paris. I'm wondering if their concert is going to happen tomorrow, given all that's happening inside the city tonight.Biff Pocoroba wrote:Kind of looking forward to seeing their concert on HBO this weekend.
