Playing the Boston Calling music festival this year.
While i would enjoy any opportunity to see Sigur Ros live, after seeing them up close in a reasonably sizezd venue, the last place i want to see them is at a festivalE.H. Ruddock wrote:Playing the Boston Calling music festival this year.
Yeah, same here. As I get older festivals piss me off more and more. The peak was back in September when me doc and chloe saw Beach House at a festival in Raleigh. While the set was good, the hipsters standing around talking and not even facing the stage really was rage inducing.Strat wrote:While i would enjoy any opportunity to see Sigur Ros live, after seeing them up close in a reasonably sizezd venue, the last place i want to see them is at a festivalE.H. i actually passed on the Chicago show. there was no way that i was paying $700 (with fees), which is what it would've cost me for 3 tickets. and from what i can tell, plenty of tickets are available for the shows.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Tickets are pretty pricey
sigur ros at a festival sounds awful.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah, same here. As I get older festivals piss me off more and more. They're also on the 3rd line of the lineup poster, which doesn't bode well for a good set-time. Imagine seeing them in the day.Strat wrote:While i would enjoy any opportunity to see Sigur Ros live, after seeing them up close in a reasonably sizezd venue, the last place i want to see them is at a festivalE.H. when he was 3, my son used to make us set his mini drum set up in front of the tv with a live video of pop song playing. he would bang the shit out of those things. although brennenstein (and milano) is his favorite sigur ros song of all time, he still loves pop song.E.H.
