I have come down on the cautious optimistic side of this trailer. Like Deadpool I think there is a lot here to potentially like, and a lot that can go wrong if they get too caught up in a juvenile 'ohhh, we're the bad guys so lets do bad things' loop. Just like I think the R rating may not have been the best thing for deadpool.

this has the advantage of having no ryan reynolds, though

ryan is going to kill it in deadpool. the people who wont like him as deadpool are ones who never read the character in the comics.

the R rating is a good thing for this movie

He was funny in the comics to me as a 10 year old. Pretty sure 10 year old me would love that deadpool movie

they both seem to be going for an edgy irreverence that is dancing just up to the edge of being juvenile. If they stay on the right side of that line they'll be fine.
