Definitely better than I gave it credit for. I kind of knew I was gonna come back to it though.

It's not even close to his best records but I might like it better than The Winding Sheet.

Also, The Wild People :heartbeat:

Intersting...

Fretboard Journal: What projects are you currently working on?

Jeff Fielder: I’ve been working with Mark Lanegan for six years now. I believe we’re making a record in January [2016]. So I’ll fly to LA and I’m assuming that a lot of that will happen in the studio. I don’t know if there’s a lot of material; I haven’t heard any demos or anything. Chances are good we’ll just make it up as we go along.

This is the first time I’ve been really involved. The first time I actually met him was when we were recording with Isobel Campbell. That was the Hawk record. That was interesting. I was the only [instrumental] musician: I was the guy playing guitar, they would sing and then she would take it back to Scotland and have all of her guys play over what I did.

And then we did [Lanegan’s] Imitations here in Seattle, a covers record. We did that all live up here at Jupiter Studios. And then a little bit on the last record, Phantom Radio. But he wants this next record to be a band record. The other guys in the Mark Lanegan band live in Antwerp. I’m the lone Yankee.

There are pictures of Radiohead and Ween where they are even younger than that (age 13?). And they are still two of the best bands on the planet today. Freaky shit.
