avg at best..i had one good dish while there but forgot what it was..
We did their plate lunch and the catfish was incredible, some of the best I've ever had, but the fried chicken had way too much batter. Sides were good, drinks were great, if it wasn't a big name restaurant I would have been pretty satisfied but it didn't live up to the hype.

i took my kids to the gourmet hot dog place in reykjavik on the first day and they hated it. but they loved the salmon and atlantic char. fuck me.

coincidently, my wife insisted on getting subway one day for the kids. mind you, they normally only eat salami and bread. the subway was right next to a grocery store. i finally prevailed and bought a package of salami and loaf of bread (and bananas, chips, apples, etc.) and still saved money. that was really our only argument in the 10 days we were there.

At a private event tonight here in New Orleans. The highlights were crawfish bread, Cajun crab cakes, and pasta atchafalaya.

Charred oysters sounds wonderful.

Baja style (swordfish) tacos at Sandy’s in Huntington Beach. Not sure why the waitress didn’t ask me if I wanted another beer before bringing my check. Maybe it’s because I’m still wearing a sweater. :|

What does a sweater have to do with anything?

Ask Doug if he ever wears a sweater in September.
