It's always interesting to see how people vote differently in tournaments like this. I always take context into account--that is, I'm not just voting for the song, but for what happens around the song, too, when it's appropriate--and I love the Monorail Song not just for its clever lyrics, but for how it plays on the insecurities, obsessions, and desires of every resident of Springfield to have its ultimate effect on them. And the gags do work, too, like how Lanley's smooth, snake-oil delivery is paired with Patti and Selma's gravely voices, but the song doesn't lose steam. It's just perfect.
