Based on that brief description they'd be linking to the news report that is making the claim. So I imagine the news outlet would be responsible/liable.
This sounds like the type of thing a corporation walks back after the backlash, just as planned, so they score some woke points and get some attention without actually doing anything. But we've gone completely off the rails now, so this is probably really going to happen.

I especially like how 38 deaths in a year, 23 from one source, is presented as some huge crisis in the same year that 16,425 murders occurred. Gotta get those budget requests justified somehow.

hoping Biden just goes and starts arresting all of them because it sounds like if the Guardian can track them down it's just a matter of a deliberate FBI sweep and they'll all be locked up within a fortnight

and I would rather they be stopped before the kill count is higher
and before letting them fester allows them to turn into another QAnon where somehow someway this has become mildly socially acceptable
i hope the arrests are visible and highly publicized
make examples of them
national examples
