It also feels more natural. We've all done good and bad things and to see reflections of ourselves in the characters give more meaning to their actions.


Also, as cheesy as the scene with the Hound burying the bodies was, I really liked it as a way to transition the character to someone you would accept as fighting with the "good side" now.

I was thinking about that last night, and it being the "good side", and the fact that there are still a lot of episodes left...

things are not going to end well for Sandor.

Maybe.. Maybe Theon made the smart decision there. He goes after Yara, and there is no way either him or Yara survive..

he gets to live to fight another day, this time after reporting what happened to Dany and getting his opportunity for redemption.

I actually thought this too, he was damned either way. Run and you're a coward, fight and Yara almost certainly dies (and possibly Theon too). I have a feeling Yara will still want Theon's head though.

I got the feeling it wasn't a rational choice.

That's what I'm saying. I just don't see any way he can redeem himself. It's at a point now where he probably wants to be executed by a Stark to be put out of his own misery. To him he probably views it as an end that he deserves. What with all of the guilt that eats away at him.

Can Jamie or the Hound be redeemed but not Theon?

Although I suspect Theon's may be more of a 'good death' rather than a redemption
