I gotta say, I didn't hear a lot of "heavy" in that clip at all. It also didn't give me any Gigaton vibes whatsoever, aside from the fact I could hear Eddie Vedder's voice.

After doing just that, I gotta admit, some of these riffs are stuck in my head. I'm excited. Yeah, we have no idea what it's gonna be like, and maybe the youtuber had to sift thru a lot of garbage to pick out the moments they did, but big smiles all the same.

Yes, if this is anything like The Fixer and Infallible behind-a-door leaks, this will be the best it will ever sound.

yep - that mike solo in the first track is stuck.

I wonder if that's scared of fear.

I just hope the real thing doesn't sound thin and glossy. I quite like what I hear in these, but sometimes through a wall or door hides the imperfections and gives the illusion of heft and power when it doesn't actually exist.

This album is going to be full of good songs. Many may hate the production, but the songs are going to be good.

Rumor has it he had to get a new set of plugs, which caused the delay of this album. The last tour his previous plugs fell out when he tried to sing Blood.

pearl jam are not promotion heavy but they havent been anti publicity in decades (since yield). you’d like people to know about what you’re doing but there are limits to how much work you’ll put into that awareness

My point is everyone in that room already likes Pearl Jam and no one outside of that room will care about anything anyone in that room writes, so if it is an event equivalent to a friends and family soft opening, then cool, why announce it publicly? It remains to be seen how this is or is not connected to further publicity, but at least with Gigaton we had some information by the time this type of event happened. I guess why go to any effort at all when you are in Pearl Jam's position? Just release the art. They are increasingly irrelevant to society as a whole compared to their peers, so if that matters, then embrace publicity, if not, then just record, do the cover art,and release as soon as its done. That would generate much more publicity.

Saturday is Boom's birthday. They're probably gonna announce then in celebration of the Gaspar.
