carlos gomez, jean segura, and adam lind seem to be the leading candidates, though gomez left the game last night and is day to day. no one wants old ass aramis ramirez.

Honestly, I didn't think they were good enough WITH miggy. His injury just cemented it for me. Beyond Price and Sanchez they don't have the starting pitching to contend given that they don't have the bullpen to help cover it, and none of the farm system assets to supplement it sufficiently. Couple that with the extreme lack of power up and down the order (only 3 guys with more than 4 HR halfway through the season). Im plenty calm about it. Just being honest about where I think their talent level is.

Linds is almost assured to be gone the way hes hitting, Segura and Gomez will be the interesting ones.

Always amazes me when a pitcher hits "the wall" how fast they fall. Halladay, Sabathia, now Verlander, could even toss Lincecum into that group.

And for all those people who harp on the decrease in fastball speeds, Greinkes is at the lowest in his career, and hes down right unhittable right now. Course, if he opts out of his contract at the end of the year, he'll sign a big deal somewhere and probably end up hitting the wall as well.
