Depends on the movie. Of the two I've seen,
Tropical Malady was awesome, while
Uncle Boonmee was a slog. Still really want to see the rest of his stuff, though.

What We Do in the Shadows was fantastic. Taika Waititi wasn't as great as I'd have hoped, but Jemaine Clement picked up the slack. Cori Gonzalez-Macuer (Nick, the regular bro) and Jackie van Beek (Jackie, the servant) had great supporting performances. A comedy that doesn't try too hard, but just enough to be ridiculous. 4/5

I think I really appreciate cinema that takes advatage of actual time. It doesn't happen a lot in the movies. Other than these movies, I can really only think of Boyhood and the Up series. Yes, there are series like Rambo and Star Wars that were made over a generaion, but they don't use actual time in the same way. It's not a fundamental element.
Obviously, it happens in television. But there are so many episodes and a season every year, so you don't feel the jump in the same way.
Have you seen
The Limey? That does some interesting, semi-experimental stuff with time and aging. I wouldn't say it has the same focus on it as the Linklater stuff (that dude is obsessed with it), but interesting nonetheless.

Real Talk: I never look at RT scores. I couldn't tell you how any film I've ever seen has scored, unless, like above, someone else has posted it.

Harsh Times. Really bad. Basically an unconvincing, obnoxious homage to early Scorsese, but with the cheap style of a mid-'90s indie movie, that gradually becomes a far less compelling retread of Pusher. It's amazing that this guy went on to make Fury.

I ended up watching Brave last night..it was meh..Both How to train your dragon films were better by huge degrees.
