Real talk question:

Would thodoks ever admit that the album is actually good? I mean, at this point, would go completely against every personality trait you have created for yourself.
haha, of course i would. i love pendulum, and, were the album constructed thematically and musically around the instincts displayed in its creation, i would have happily consumed the album, and announced the unexpected return of my affection for the band.

Musically, sure its a departure from others, but lyrically I think this song does fit in to a really cohesive thematic discussion throughout the album.
with only the rarest of exceptions, i don't care about lyrics

there are tons of horribly incorrect things you've said throughout your time here on RM. This is one of the most.
often wrong, never in doubt
well I applaud your certainty, sir.

Seriously, they're nothing special at all
Only redeeming factor is the chorus lyrics changing up, I find that an interesting song-writing technique

I feel like when someone says backspacer it should have the Jason Vorhees theme music playing behind it

There's a wide gulf between "nothing special" and "horrid" though. They're solid imo.

No there isn't. Everything is amazing or cringe worthy.

It's technically uplifting, but in a much more successful way than Backspacer imo, and the way it lifts back into a solo is really good.

let the records play is the kind of unapologetic romp i actually don't mind the band indulging in, although mccready's wankery never fails to grate
