I definitely agree with the second part. As far as I'm concerned there is no mystery of her beginnings.
Well perhaps that is just it. The only thing possibly interesting about Rey is where she came from and who she is (her "parents" better stay as nobodies). As she is our new "hero", i feel much less attached to her than I did with Luke Skywalker. There hasn't been something for me to become emotionally attached to her character in the same way as Luke a young farm boy pining for a bigger live and seeing his parents slaughtered.

Im just spit balling here.
Yeah, I'm the opposite. I don't care about her parents or her past that much. But I feel far more attached to Rey than I do anyone from the OT. But I totally get why you would feel the way you do. Makes sense.
I think Rey's characterization is one of the better parts of the new trilogy, particularly in terms of how the 'reveal' of her background manages to devastate her (as it did with Luke) while being the complete opposite revelation. Luke's moment at the end of Empire is so crushing because he realizes how closer he is to the central characters of this story than he ever would have hoped. Rey's devastation comes from being excised from the story altogether. It's a nifty bit of storytelling that could have been far more cloying than it was. They wind up at the same lowpoint, but what brings them there are answers completely opposite of each other (granted, Last Jedi walked back that devastation a bit too much; she was back in the story again by the end in a way Luke wasn't at the end of Empire after the revelation about Vader).

That's why I'm waiting and seeing about what comes next, as it seems the hints have been that the close of the story will have more to do with Rey's background, and I don't really think I've heard any hypothesis that's as emotionally resonant as what they've already given themselves to work with.

TLJ's ending would have been so much powerful without that scene with the kids.

Yeah, that would have been a better ending for the whole saga, not TLJ

Weird thing is. The last scene on the falcon. And the cutting to Temere Blag (he has a name you know)

Is the most jj thing ever. Rian did jj more than jj.

It’s a bizarre ending to a star war but was the end of empire any less bizarre?
It doesn’t even have an ending. It makes almost no sense.

Come back Jedi master Blagg

I dunno. It’s gonna be whatever it’s gonna be.
Been too long pissing off the cliff only to meet the upwind.
Leave him to it. He knocked it outta the park with the force awakens.
He’s more than able to do it again and bring this all home.

I don't care what anyone says. There is no way that's Kylo wearing the mask.

Because based on last jedi, it would make literally no sense to put him back in the mask. He moved beyond it. Putting it back on him to make the fanboys happy is the only reason IMO. Unless something happens to him in movie, I can only see towards the very end.

The Last Jedi was just two days of his life.

Can’t agree. He’s reasserting his role for himself. Snoke abused and mocked him. He’s taking that back.
It’s nothing to do with fanbois either. They don’t do this stuff by focus group.

He’ll only have it on in maybe one or two scenes. Odd thing to pick up on if I may say

Yea he was pretty pissed off at the end of TLJ and had assumed his role as leader for the fight on crait. He will definitely be wearing the helmet.

I think taking back the helmet is basically Kylo going full villain again. He is reclaiming his part as the main guy.

After what we've heard, TROS takes place a year after The Last Jedi (which took place over just two days), so many things might have happened in between.

Did we miss this ? There was a new tv spot Sunday night during football

https://comicbook.com/starwars/2019/09/ ... -released/

The footage reel is exactly what we’ve seen before but it sounds like there is new palpatine dialogue that I haven’t heard.

It’s the second teaser that was released in August.
