Great Lakes Blackout Stout is pretty dynamite.

One of the dads in the teaching pod I'm in is pretty high up at New Belgium, and at the end of the first week he gave me a really nice Patagonia backpack FULL of different NB beers. Pretty nice surprise.

Burial Brewing in Asheville makes a pretty awesome coffee porter.

I finally opened an old bottle of bourbon county from 2015. Rich taste but not too much head retention.

I wasn't sure which one had the problems. I wouldn't have guessed it was this batch but then again I never studied for the Cicerone.

My wife wanted me to get her a pumpkin beer on Saturday.

as most of you know, I only have about 3 beers a year now...anyway, stopped at a cool little liquor store in the california mountains on the drive home and happened to get there during a Pliny delivery...I bought 2 cases to give out to friends at home...

A friend just brought some of this back from Missouri but I haven't opened one yet. Love the label.

We've got a new craft beer place not far from my apartment. Went in yesterday and grabbed a few cans of stuff I'd never had or even heard of before.

This stuff is amazing:

That's Hop Butcher for the World! They brew about 10 miles from my house. They release about 2 different beers a week, and it's all I ever drink.

It's probably some of the best IIPAs you'll have. (note: all of their IIPAs are 7.5%, and they have them dialed in).

I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for their other stuff. I really loved that beer.
