My hunch is all 200 of them have friends or family members who are cops. I strongly doubt you’ll find many people who actually love the police as an institution, but probably lots who have a personal connection to the brotherhood that challenges any blanket slogan like “defund the police.”

It’s “57% of black folks surveyed” and it’s in line with polling data trends over the last 12 months or so. You can look backwards in time on the survey link above. It’s not that they all know cops, it’s that they are seeing the actual effects of what BLM advocated for in their neighborhoods and have come to obvious conclusion.
