I remember being a bit surprised after the interview was over that we didn't really get into it. I thought you'd ask more on the subject.

not sure if this has been mentioned (theres a lot of pages to this thread), the sound of this bootleg has a real 2nd leg of the US tour 2000 to it, thats my initial reaction and from listening to bootlegs from 1998 and Live on Two Legs. Matts drumming in 1998 had a real "thump" sound, feels like thats missing from this album a little, apart from that the overall sound is pretty similar is what im trying to say, slightest differences in Ed's vocals and the guitar tones are a little different.

u know those were the last shows at the spectrum, right? and the scorecard girl was giving the score to the world series, being played across the street? weird post.
It wasn't a concert, it was a fucking sausage fest. You couldn't pay me to go to another PJ concert after that.
I agree with you that scorecard girls are corny in any context and to me the sports stuff often veers into something crass and unappealing in a big element of the fan base.

I agree with you (or whoever said) that Ed spends way too much energy eliciting cheap audience responses these days.

But I think you're overgeneralizing about the shows. I've only had that frat-boy vibe dominate in the section I was in twice out of 25. It did suck, but it is not the norm, not even close. And Philly is never a good bet if you don't like that kind of audience, but especially the final shows at the Spectrum while the world series is happening. Most of the recent shows have the elated, celebratory vibe that Stip and others were describing and certainly from all the people I meet the traveling fans include a disproportionate number of thoughtful and respectful people, and it's their enthusiasm and intensity and appreciation that more often sets the celebratory tone. I find it quite inspiring most of the time. I think you're way off track to say that if you don't see it's really a big frat you're part of the problem. That is an aggressive and ugly minority that sometimes in some sections dominates but it's not at all the main sensibility of those that welcome the celebration aspect.

Yes, as someone has absolutely zero interest in sport, it's certainly not something that works for me.

On that note, I presume Vedder's probably going to talk about baseball a lot at the Wrigley show. Thankfully we're spared most of that when the band tour Australia (with the exception of those local sport team themed shirts in 2009.)

I understand that not everyone is into sport, but I for one LOVED the sports tees. It combined my two greatest loves: Pearl Jam and the Sydney Swans!

I like that there was an option for sports fans. But you're right that we in Australia don't get a lot of sports talk. I don't want sports talk, I want music!

No, not surprised, just a side of them I don't much relate to and that brings out the worst in some of the fans.

Oh yes it IS!! Though since I'm one of the rare females here, I probably wouldn't have expressed it that way.

I listened to this for a while tonight while hauling boxes back and forth between houses. Still tremendous--Ed's voice on "Long Road" is the reason I will likely never abandon this band.

It was only available for a few weeks. I believe they were made to order, so there was a deadline as to when you could purchase.

They did mention that they may sell limited quantities after it was pressed

Has anyone made a SBD/AUD mix out of this yet to get a complete show, a la the Orpheum? I would be appreciative of a PM if it's happened...
