ShoalsFest returns to McFarland Park in Florence, Alabama, October 3 – 4, 2026. The two-day music festival will feature two headlining performances from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, with Isbell also teaming up with Drive-By Truckers to perform Decoration Day in its entirety.

Jason Isbell is one of the best artists we have. He's amazing and if you haven't seen him live (in any configuration) I highly recommend it. The dude is for real and a national treasure.

Listened to 2020-11-07 North Charleston with Amanda Shires for the first time in a while yesterday afternoon, bittersweet indeed.

Last couple months have had three friends decide it was time to shuffle off this mortal coil on their volition, last was this Monday and the one I was closest too. Isbell is my choice for yard work probably 90% of the time and Live at the Ryman v2 got the nod this eve... 'round 4:33 I just let the emotions take over for a bit.
