There is noting to stop them making further films placed in between say a new hope and empire/ empire and Jedi.
Ahsoka is essential to the birth of the rebellion but they'd have trouble explaining where she is and not featured at any of the council meetings such as in R1. too easy to say she wa leading a mission
I mean, will they have more trouble explaining her absence than they've had explaining Obi-Wan's? Or Yoda's? I don't think it's that big of an issue.
And its not like she hasn't been in exile before.
Exactly. I don't think it's much of an issue. Just as long as they never kill her off. I don't give a fuck.

As popular as she is she isn't stand alone movie popular guys.

A feature length animated episode about her when Rebels wraps up is what I'm thinking.

You're probably right. But this kind of thinking drives me crazy. I hear it on Collider all the time. "Ah they can't launch a huge property like Ghost in the Shell with an unknown. They need a big star like Scar-Jo." Okay, sure, but on the flip side, no one's going to become a big star that can launch tent pole properties without being given the opportunity.

Maybe Ahsoka isn't "solo film popular." But what difference does that make? She's a wonderful character. If you make a great movie about her then she will become that popular. And what else is the whole "A Star Wars Story" sub-genre for, if not to try new things and take some risks?

That said, I see what you mean, dime. I don't expect to see her in her own film any time soon. But it would be great to get her in a film at some point.

Agreed. I'd say lucasfilm want to establish the standalones first before they get adventurous with them.

So Rebels is today and it's a double episode I'm told. Cool.

Rey wasn't a huge and popular character in the Star Wars universe but they managed to make her huge and popular

I have a new idea

What if Luke and Rey aren't related. And they fall in love and have babies.

There's your next two or even three trilogies

I mean he's been on that island alone for a long time presumably

And Rey is the most beautiful woman in the galaxy

Link sent.

Solid episodes. Really feels like the tone set in Rogue One. And not just cos Saw is in there.
Like what they did with him. Made me uncomfortable but that was the point I guess.

He was more interesting here than in R1. I really enjoyed sabine's sand callback line too

Yeah, it totally bridges the gap between Clone Wars and R1 for his character in just that one episode.

You should watch all her episodes.

The fandom HATED her to begin with. But they've portrayed development and maturation of a character so well she's now the most popular character. They did a great job and her story is that good. Watch all of them.

You know what kinda bugs me about Rebels? There are so many battles with the Empire. And they always win. They make the Empire look like giant chumps at every turn. And it happens over and over again. It kinda takes the wind out of Rogue One and this idea that stealing the Death Star plans was so difficult and their first major victory. I mean, it is! It's a HUGE victory. And most of the things in Rebels I guess are small or smaller victories, sure. But it just seems so easy on the show. Take some of the danger out of the films, I think. And not just R1 but all of the films.

That's a fair critique.

You're not wrong. But you have to remember the ghost crew are just one small team.
But also o think you're gonna see them lose and lose big before the end of this season. And continue to lose into the next season. Just a guess.
