Sekiro is in the upper tier of FromSoft games, no doubt.

It's been a tough run but i'm nearing the end game of Sekiro. Some aggravating bosses in this game for sure and i've had to unlearn a lot of my Souls habits. Lady Butterfly was a huge early skill-check. True Corrupted Monk took me a good while too. The Great Shinobi Owl encounter though, that took me a several frustrating hours over a couple of days before I finally took that old fucker down. I haven't done the 2nd Owl one yet (still deciding if i'm going for Purification or Return ending. I guess it depends on how much trouble he gives me this time....).

I reached the Divine Dragon boss during my last session and decided to call it for the day before getting sucked into that battle. I have a feeling i'm in for a few more tough boss battles before it's all over

Elden Ring is hilarious. I DL'd the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, expecting to jump right in, but no. Because I started a new game+, all of my previous progress was lost, so I had to spend hours beating most of the game again to finally be able to experience the thing I purchased. I'm not mad. This kind of thing is what makes FromSoft so special. Enjoying the whole experience again, having forgotten most of it, and excited to finally begin 'Erdtree.

Dang, that stinks. But you'll probably be better prepared for the DLC. I ended up taking a break about 1/3 of the way through because it was just too much at that time.

I just downloaded Lies of P. Very curious to see how that compares to Bloodborne/Sekiro. Apparently, it is like a hybrid of of the two.

Yeah, no, I'm not mad, I've been having a great time. And yup, getting me prepared.

Maybe I'll try that game one day. Let me know what you think of it.

Starting Erdtree after a few years away from Elden Ring probably wouldn't have been wise. I would have been cooked.

Do you find your skills are diminishing? I can't tell if mine are or if I just don't have the time/patience to grind as much anymore. I find myself turning down the difficulty in some games if I don't want the hassle. FromSoftware games are different though... The pain is expected and oddly satisfying.

Ha, true; if I don't die at least once from a boss fight, I'm not satisfied. My skills remain strongly refined mostly due to my somewhat frequent Rocket League play. Often while competing in that game I'll have a vision, flashback of a moment in a FromSoft game and the itch builds. I don't play as much as I used to before kids, but it's still quite enough.

Lies of P has its hooks in me! Some really clever improvements/twists on the Souls formula. You can mix and match blades and handles to create the ideal weapon for your playstyle. Some very cool boss designs too.

Finished this over the weekend. Certainly my favorite non-FromSoftware Souls game. Check it out if you get a chance.

I've been collecting all of the Scadutree Fragments in the Elden Ring DLC. This area is so dense.
