Sekiro is in the upper tier of FromSoft games, no doubt.
Dang, that stinks. But you'll probably be better prepared for the DLC. I ended up taking a break about 1/3 of the way through because it was just too much at that time.tree_ wrote:Elden Ring is hilarious. I DL'd the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, expecting to jump right in, but no. Because I started a new game+, all of my previous progress was lost, so I had to spend hours beating most of the game again to finally be able to experience the thing I purchased. I'm not mad. This kind of thing is what makes FromSoft so special. Enjoying the whole experience again, having forgotten most of it, and excited to finally begin 'Erdtree.
Yeah, no, I'm not mad, I've been having a great time. And yup, getting me prepared.Monkey_Driven wrote:Dang, that stinks. But you'll probably be better prepared for the DLC. I just downloaded Lies of P. Very curious to see how that compares to Bloodborne/Sekiro. Apparently, it is like a hybrid of of the two.
Starting Erdtree after a few years away from Elden Ring probably wouldn't have been wise. I would have been cooked.tree_ wrote:Yeah, no, I'm not mad, I've been having a great time. Maybe I'll try that game one day. Let me know what you think of it.
Do you find your skills are diminishing? I can't tell if mine are or if I just don't have the time/patience to grind as much anymore. I find myself turning down the difficulty in some games if I don't want the hassle. FromSoftware games are different though... The pain is expected and oddly satisfying.tree_ wrote:i'm in the upper echelon, a highly skilled video gamer, trained since birth
Ha, true; if I don't die at least once from a boss fight, I'm not satisfied. My skills remain strongly refined mostly due to my somewhat frequent Rocket League play. Often while competing in that game I'll have a vision, flashback of a moment in a FromSoft game and the itch builds. I don't play as much as I used to before kids, but it's still quite enough.Monkey_Driven wrote:Do you find your skills are diminishing? Finished this over the weekend. Certainly my favorite non-FromSoftware Souls game. Check it out if you get a chance.Monkey_Driven wrote:Lies of P has its hooks in me! Some really clever improvements/twists on the Souls formula. You can mix and match blades and handles to create the ideal weapon for your playstyle. Some very cool boss designs too.
