In fact, it looks like you're comparing the "MYM" stream to the official, Cameron Crowe-directed video of "The Fixer", which debuted a whole month after the song was already out. The public's curiosity was appeased by that point, as it seems to be happening with "MYM" right now.

Regardless, none of this has anything to do with the level of "embarrassment" that Fixer supporters are supposed to feel, nor the quality of the song. The only thing it proves is that Pearl Jam fans shouldn't try to be statisticians.

So, Lightning Bolt. First minute I heard it I thought: "Nooo...not another Unthought Known, please! Nononono!" It's the way Ed uses his voice in the beginning, I can't stand it, can't even describe it, there's just something about it I find so weird ..then this super annoying chorus set in... Lightning Booooolt....Lightning Booowlt....Lightning Bolt... Hated it from the first listen, haven't had that in a long time (never?!), at least not with a PJ song. Actually, after that went by I quite like the ending when it gets rougher. It's better than the Fixer at least, I guess.
But yeah, can't understand all the praise it got. But I see, I'm not alone with my opinion on this board

Maybe they could just cut the first half for the album version ;D

LB doesn't suck. It is a fine PJ song. What's left on the album is key.

On the contrary it was quite simple. Being good (for a song) is a shared opinion of a majority of people. The less people are of the opinion that a song is good, the more chance there is that it's actually not good. Amiwrong?
